Just gonna rant right here for a minute about the modern woman.
I’ve seen tons of people posting this picture that shows Marilyn Monroe types compared to anorexic whores. We’ve all seen this picture right?
I have also noticed just about every guy I know saying girls from the 50s are better looking than girls from modern day. While I agree, there are some flaws with our analysis.
First, the 50s girls we see and recognize as “50s girls” were the porn stars/movie stars/super models of that era, not the average girl.
Secondly, none of us were alive in the 50s to see how they actually dressed. All we have to go on is movies about the 50s (most of which were made in the 80s) and pictures of famous girls left over. My grandma was not as hot as Marilyn Monroe and neither was yours.
Now to address the girls who are posting this picture.
I think its fair to assume that nobody thinks the top row is hotter than the bottom row. Whoever made this picture found the 4 closest living beings to skeletons to try to make a point. The point they were trying to make is that girls are uglier today than they used to be. Here’s why:
It’s nothing “society” did. Girls started dressing like shit. You think guys like the top row? It’s all we have. Girls did this to themselves. It’s how all of you dress. You walk around in pajamas, North Face and Uggs. Yoga pants, Sketchers and PINK hoodies. Posting pictures of you and your drunk friends on Facebook. You started disrespecting your bodies. As a generation, you started to disrespect yourselves. That’s nobody’s fault but your own.
Don’t sit online blogging about “Society’s idea of beauty”. You are society. It’s like when a someone is driving on the freeway and says “I’m stuck in traffic.” They’re not in traffic, they are traffic. You are part of society, and you are the ones projecting this view on yourselves.
Males and the media aren’t the ones posting pictures online of themselves making duck lips and peace signs. Males and the media aren’t the ones who have been wearing shorts that show butthole since they’ve been in middle school. Males and the media are, in fact, doing nothing to the image of modern day women. It’s just women degrading themselves.
So clean your act up ladies. Show some fucking respect for yourselves and save the reputation of our generation. I want boys in 2060 to look back and say “Girls looked so good in 2012.” not, “Were all girls anorexic and addicted to heroine in 2012?” Because, honestly, I’m fucking embarrassed by our generation.
Fuck.
